Amandla Stenberg: ?Rue? Responds To Racist Hunger Games Comments

  This story is just sad! Amandla Stenberg, the actress who plays Rue in the Hunger Games is now getting attacked on twitter with some racist crap from haters that have no life. They also posted hateful comments about Lenny Kravitz and Dayo Okeniyi questioning filmmakers’ casting choices.   In the book District 11 is largely a black-majority district, so why wouldn?t Rue and Thresh be black? And in any case, who cares? Why is it so important. I loved Rue in the movies. She did a great job and questioning any of the cast never crossed my mind. I enjoyed every second o the movie! This kind of behavior is disgusting, and I just don?t understand it. It is shameful. There are much bigger issues in the world ? like I don?t know ? cancer, aids, war, hunger, even genetically modified foods for the love of gawd!
